An additional two individuals have been arrested in connection with a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where over twenty individuals were injured by a substance believed to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was taken into custody in the Lambeth area on suspicion of theft and assault and a 23-year-old woman was arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to commit robbery. They both are still being held, the force said.

The arrests follow a probe into an assault at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women had stolen from them their luggage upon exiting a parking garage elevator.

A three-year-old girl was among the those hurt in the event. Five people went to hospital for treatment and have since been released.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of robbery and assault near the location. He has since been released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were alerted at approximately 08:10 GMT following reports of a number of individuals hurt by an irritating chemical thought to be pepper spray.

The assault - an event that authorities stated was isolated and not being treated as terrorism - caused delays to rail services and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the Terminal 3 parking facility for a short time.
