I will overwhelm 'serious combatant' Jake Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight round contest which will be broadcast in real-time on Netflix.

British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" the American and "break" the American as the combatants came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former two time world title holder Joshua battles social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive uneven pairing - at Miami Kaseya Center on 19 December.

Fighter's Mentality

"I'm going to damage his features and break his body up. My goal is to show my superiority," the British boxer, 35, said.

"I will dominate him completely. That's a fighter's mentality.

"I intend to really want to injure him. That's my goal."

Respectful Exchange

In spite of these statements, a calm Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and maintained decorum with each other.

Paul instead targeted ex Joshua rival the Cameroonian fighter and called him "ridiculous" after the Cameroonian turned down a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Fury

Anthony Joshua, in the meantime, targeted UK opponent Fury - and declined a million-pound wager 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul victory.

"Jake Paul is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I acknowledge that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to hurt Jake Paul, Joshua chose not to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake is a credible opponent," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who initially became famous on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He lost to British fighter Fury in last year.

Financial Success

Nevertheless, the novice is still one of the sport's greatest money-making draws, regularly earning massive paydays.

Forecast and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a KO victory in the fourth or fifth round and claimed he would prevent the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is reportedly in the works for 2026.

"The next fight will be me versus Tyson Fury in the coming year," Paul stated.

Physical Difference

As Joshua and Paul met for the customary face-off, with their physical disparity clearly visible, it highlighted just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is actually happening.
